Best 25 Man comps in your opinion
What are the necessary buffs/classes/specs
I like the five pally, 3-4 druids, 2-3 priests - 2-3 shaman (max 5) - 2 dk - 2 rogue - 2 mage - 2 lock - 1-2 hunter comp
It's good stacking the necessary buffs first and secondary buffs second I think.
Trade-off bonus' are good. You can see I like stacking hte jack-of-all trade classes.

you completely left warriors off that list, the lack of commanding shout is lame in my opinion. On top of that you've got sunder, multiple stuns, minimum 1 antifear, a silence, minimum 1 dot, several debuffs. Unless your fight involves absolutely no melee warriors are an all around good class to bring with you.
I'd also say you dont really need 5 pallys, you only need 4, 1 tank 3 others, that way the jack of all trades classes get all 4 buffs, after that pallys make okay substitutes but you've maximized your buff potential already.

4Paladins, 3Druids, 2/3Priest, 3Shamans, 2DK, 1Rogue, 1Hunter, 1Lock, 1Mage, 2 Warrior
Basically thats the min in my mind.
Paly 1Ret,1Prot, 2Holy
Druid 1Bear,1Tree, 1Owl/Tree
Priest 1Shadow, 1Disc/1Holy (Ive always liked Disc better than Holy oo)
Shaman 1Resto, 1Elemental, 1Enhan
DK 1Tank, 1Dps (Mages dps is highly based off a Dk keeping up a snare =/.)
Rogue 1Whatever
Hunter 1Whatever
Lock 1Whatever
Mage 1Arcane
Warrior 1Prot, 1Arms/Fury
= 21
I really dont know much about Rogues, Locks, Hunters. Only thing I kinda know is that the hunter has a raid dmg buff and attack power buff.
Each class would obviously have to keep up their buffs/debuffs when ever they could. Yes I know some are procs off crits and what not. oO
For more dps id go with more rogues/mages/dk. Ive never really played with many Locks/Hunters who could compete with my old guilds Rogues/Mages. Our top five dps use to be a Rogue, Shadow Priest, 2Mages and a DK. The 3 casters were always neck and neck probably because we where all friends and highly competitive with each other which pushed us to really learn our classes, boss fights, when to pop pots, and cool downs.
Anyways that gives you just about all the buffs you need, 4 different types of tanks and 5healers with a backup if needed. We really dont need 4tanks at all times so hopefully a couple of them would have a good dps set. Also certain fights like General you need about 6 melee interupts (6 to be safe because I lack trust in most ppl). Im also insane so take it with a grain of salt.

really? your locks/hunters were your low deeps? Man I've run with alot of 7-8k dps locks and hunters. I'd definitely say a frost DK is good to have if he's got the haste buff talent, weather he's tank or dps doesn't really matter so much.
