Comcast shit - 2/5/10 - trying to get back on with lap top on wireless

having trouble with comcast right now - on neighbors wireless - ETA till I'm on - unknown....comcast support is worthless.

Xbox live seems decently fine...which is odd

Counter Strike, and WoW are in hell in high water ping wise.

Web Sites take 239487239487ty years to load.

I think it might be the ports on my router....but I just don't find that possible. Just doesn't seem possible. Cause all my wireless connections seem normal for the most part now that the net is back. While my wired connections are pretty much completely fucked it seems. Also all connections get worse once every 20 ish minutes.

My hops with tracert to google seems to be 40 hops plus, with most hops in and around where we live (within 300 miles). I'm having a bitch of a time figuring this one out.

Comcast DOES suck, the primary reason being that they know their network is over tasked but they're continually trying to pump more and more people onto it and refuse to upgrade. There was discussion of a possible lawsuit over their deliberately faulty service a few months ago, dunno if anything has come about yet.
